Last Days in New York

After our last day session of the Open, my brother took us to a Malaysian restaurant at Hoboken. It was pretty good. The soft shell crab was goooooooood :]

The next day, my friend Paula [we've been friends since elementary school in the Philippines] took us shopping at some malls in NJ. I found a nice black clutch from Juicy Couture for $40 :] I also bought a silver starter charm bracelet. Alas, no charms yet hahaha. I really want a tennis charm!
After that, we had sushi. Then, drama went down with Paula's ex. Quy left them to sort whatever out, and listened to some old school RnB...Quyonce and Annaynay HEEEEY! hahahaha

Friday, we just went shopping in SoHo. I lost my shit at Top Shop. Well, I didnt end up spending too much money, but I wanted to! Yay for 10% year-round student discount! We also went to Columbia to take a tour, but they were not offering tours. We went to the Architecture dept., but they told me the same things I found online :/

Saturday, Quy and I spend the afternoon at Central Park. Frollicking in the meadows! hahahaha
My brother's girlfriend's cousins came to town, so we went out to dinner with her and her fam at Cheesecacke Factory. Seating for 10 takes FOREVVVEEERRRR! Food was good, especially when you're really hungry.

Came back yesterday. Still tired.

Thoughts: I had fun, but I wanted to do more! Didn't get to go to Morimoto's, do other architecture-y crap, more broadway, more tennis! hahaha

US Open Sessions 1-5

Today was my last tennis session at US Open. Quy and I got our tickets in June[?]when the packages became available. We got the Opening Week packages. This lets you watch round 1 in Arthur Ashe stadium [3 day sessions and 2 night sessions].

Our seats were located in the Upper Promenade [almost the bleachers]. It was HAWT! I got sooo dark! I didn't burn...just tanned badly.
Food was EXPENSIVE. It was meh. They had restaurants at the USTA Tennis Center, but they were really expensive [an entree was $30]. You can't go wrong with foot-long hotdogs and waffle fries. They had a signature drink, Honey Deuce. It's a Grey Goose drink, with honeydew melon balls. Soooo goood.

We got see Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Venus and Serena Williams, Dinara Safina. They all played in Arthur Ashe Stadium. All really good tennis. It makes me want to play tennis again...competitive tennis. Watching them play is inspiring.
Gaaah! I love tennis!

Awesome tennis. Bad tans. Great 3 days.
